The Flathead Valley Backpack Program is coming to a close

Last week, Kalispell Volkswagen was proud to take part in our annual Flathead Valley Backpack Program, with the help of Flathead Valley Food Bank. This August initiative helps children in the Flathead Valley head into the school year with something even more essential than notebooks or pencils: consistent access to food.

The Backpack Program ensures that kids who might otherwise go hungry have meals to rely on outside of school hours. Each backpack is filled with nutritious, easy-to-prepare items that students can take home, giving families peace of mind and kids the fuel they need to learn and thrive.

The turnout this year was incredible. Dozens of families stopped by to pick up backpacks, and once again, we were reminded of how important this program is for our community. Hunger doesn’t take weekends off, and programs like this one make a real difference for children who need extra support.
