Car Buying Advice from our Volkswagen Specialists!

Is there a magical formula to car buying? There are so many posts and tools out there that you sometimes don’t know who to listen to. We recently went out and asked our Volkswagen Specialists, “If you could give car buyers one piece of advice, what would it be and why?”

Gus DiPaulo- General Sales Manager

“Do your research and keep your mind open to things that may not appear in your peripheral.” I constantly see people come in thinking they need one thing then leave with another.

Ashlen Butterfield- Internet Manager

“Always ask for the best price and ask what type of reconditioning has been done.” It is recommended to ask for a sheet that states if there have been repairs and the return policy. Ashlen says that here at Volkswagen, she teaches her shoppers to shop.

Tyson Eckhardt- Internet Manager

“Know your dealer. What they do what the support.” By supporting a local dealer, you are supporting the community. A big part of why I like working for Kalispell Auto Group is the amount of community outreach they are involved in.

“Extend your test drive and drive it at night.” She has seen so many people test drive up and down a street then end up hating it at night. Also, comfort is key; don’t compromise your comfort, especially on what could be a significant investment.

“Really know what is important to you.” Stress on reliability, such as fuel economy. Go towards a hybrid or even electric version of a car.

“Buy from someone you trust.” Unfortunately, not all dealerships have the same interest. Some put their customers first, and others put themselves first.
